Hey Folks! Hope everyone is doing well!
Sorry for the absence last week and the late newsletter this week. My wife and Run a business and have been preparing for a trade show in New Orleans. As we speak, I’m winding down from a day on the convention center floor. The weather is something no human should have to live through — it’s 80 degrees and 92% humidity. NOLA is beautiful in the winter, but Lord have mercy, I will never come here in summer again if I can ever help it.
That said, the city is beautiful and Jazz fills the air. Even waiting for the street car, I heard a random musician playing what I can only describe as atonal avant garde jazz.
That’ may not sound appealing, but regardless of taste, what he was playing was legitimately hard and impressive. NOLA just breeds a special caliber of musician.
Orthodox Movie Night June 19th
This Friday Holy Trinity will show Babette’s Feast! Doors open at 6pm and Movie starts at 7pm. If you can, bring snacks to share! If not, please RSVP so we can make sure what we have enough snacks for everyone!

It’s worth saying a little something about movie night. The ethos of this ministry is “Beauty First.” It isn’t always the case that the movies are explicitly “Orthodox” — but we believe that if a work of art is truly beautiful, we should be able to tease out Orthodox themes from it. Friday Night Lights
I just found out recently that St. John the Baptist has an event every Friday called “Friday Night Lights”.
Friday Night Lights is an opportunity Young Men’s Fellowship! It sounds like a great event and wonderful opportunity for guys in our parishes to get together!
